CP's February Newsletter

Howdy! 🤠 Chris here, & welcome to the February Newsletter. Wow. First newsletter, eh? Heheh… Sure am nervous but hey! You might enjoy reading it! 

So, this month was something special. We went to BP for lunch one time. :) The next week was Valentine's Day, where our little gang made the infamous fudge. 😀 The week after that, we went to the Central City Fun Park, and played mini golf (Boy, am I jealous of past me)! And for the final week of February, we went to Grandview Heights Aquatic Center.

Healthy Baking Highlights

Fudge!

Sooooo… I made a mistake while making the pink lemonade fudge. 😐 I used a whole packet of Strawberry drink flavoring (Note to self: Use half the packet next time), and this made it so sugary! But despite this, it was delicious.

Soft & Thick Snickerdoodles

This kind of cookie was recommended by Deanna! 😀 🎉  I found a recipe online, and we made them for our Thursday healthy baking. My fave part of making these was when they came out of the oven (despite the fact that I can’t smell much). According to my BI they smelled wonderful!

The usual hustle and bustle in the sheds was interrupted when a new engine arrived. Willi, a charming Great Western Railway 14XX 0-4-2T purchased from British Railways, had been sent to help with the increased workload. His small, dark olive green body and friendly personality immediately caught the attention of the other engines.”

Highlight of the Month:

Mini golf

Here’s a story about a group of friends playing arcade mini golf at Central City Fun Park! There were statues of famous video game characters like Sonic, D.K. (Donkey Kong), & Bowser, along with a giant golf ball Pac-man. The vibe was bright & sunny like a certain video game world made out of cubes (Minecraft, for those who don’t play). 

Funny bonus bit: I kept trying to get my ball into this tiny hole in the middle of the D.K. one, and it kept rolling back! I was getting increasingly angry, but I eventually just went “SCREW IT” and hit the ball with enough force to fling it into the area behind it and for it to roll down near the hole.

I also got a hole in one one time. -w-
