CP's June Newsletter

Hi folks :3 I’m not in any danger this time. Not even in danger of falling off a roof. Nope. Not today. But enough of my rambling, and onto this week’s blog! :D (It was quite the interesting week, given I wasn’t here for 4 days.). Where was I? Oh, I was camping out in Porteau Cove in Squamish, and doing a lot of walks around the campsite. (There was one area called Lookout Point, due to it overlooking the cove itself and being very high up…)

Fun Fridays

A note from the editor: Every week, Chris has a "Fun Friday" — an outing or other activity that allows him to socialize with his peers and explore his community. Some are full-day outings. Other times, we stay close to home, and enjoy some fresh air on a walk or hike.

Workout Highlight

Train Wreck Trail

Train Wreck Trail: It was a walk through a forest, taking us along (there were also warnings of bears). And of course, Tesla came with us! As for the blockage, there was a bridge over a very deep gorge with a river rushing through it. Looking down, I thought my legs would just bolt forwards, but they didn’t. They surprisingly stayed calm until we reached the other side. It was smooth sailing with Tesla, whom I walked on her leash (though she LOVED to sniff around and often ended up dragging me along sometimes)!

Story Updates

Starwell's World Episode 1: Snowy Adventure

It was a bright and sunny day in Toonville as snow fell from the sky. And who am I, you ask? I’m the narrator. You could say I'm the toon’s handler, and yes, they can get a bit CRAZY sometimes. But they're like family to me. Starwell especially.

I’ll introduce you to the characters of this world, starting with the star of the show herself….Starwell!

Fog hung around Starwell’s Lighthouse as she slept in her bed. Sunlight drifted through the partly opened curtains in the lighthouse. A bark dragged Starwell from her sleep. On the bed in front of her sat her pet asteroid Comet. Comet had a short stub of rock that extended from his rear end, acting, for all intents and purposes, like the tail of a puppy dog. His tail wagged happily as he licked his owner’s face...

Highlight of the Month:

Camping!!!!

I had a great time camping with Mom and Brian! Tho I am jealous my mom got to make Campfire Cones D: Campfire Cones are little treats made of ice cream cones and different camping treats like marshmallows & chocolate chips, etc., then roasted over the fire.

We walked the Train Wreck Trail, which was once the site of a wreck caused by speeding from the PGE (Pacific Great Eastern) back in 1952.

And there was one day when we ate out at the Watershed Grill. I had fish & chips >:3. Mom had wings, which were 79 cents. (I’m not even joking about that.) As for Brian… I don’t really recall what he had, aside from a burger. My mind just blanks out past there.

There was also one day when we went to Shannon Falls Provincial Park and had a bit of a tumble-walk on the rocks! We did a lot of climbing, or at least my mom & I did.

Joke of the Month:

Q: What do you call a dinosaur wearing a cowboy hat and boots?

A: Tyrannosaurus Tex!
